CELLO

Ryan Rusconi is an accomplished cellist, having won a number of prestigious awards and prizes.

 

Throughout his youth, Ryan Rusconi played in several orchestras, like the National Children’s Orchestra and the London Symphony School Orchestra, enabling him to tour around Europe and perform in prestigious venues such as Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reim.

 

Today, however, he predominantly works as a session musician, having recorded material at both Abbey Road Studios and Goldsmith Music Studios. He is passionate about playing the music of today, as well as remembering the greats that have come before us.

This is the third movement from Nadia Boulanger's 'Trois PieÌ€ces pour violoncelle et piano' entitled as 'Vite et nerveusement rythmé.' With fervent pace and intricate rhythms, this composition exhibits Boulanger's brilliance. The cello and piano engage in spirited dialogue creating a fascinating and dynamic musical intensity.

Bach: Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major - Prélude (2023)

 

The prelude from Suite No. 1 in G major BWV 1007 is the best known movement from the entire set of suites for solo cello by Johann Sebastian Bach.

 

The composition mainly consists of arpeggiated chords and is regularly heard in films (such as in Master and Commander, The Hangover 2, Elysium, and The Pianist) as well as on television (including shows like House, Smallville, and Daredevil).
